What overdrive or distortion pedal should I get?

I'm thinking about getting an overdrive or some kind of distortion pedal. I have a vox AD30 amp and an american deluxe strat. The pedals I currently have right now are a big muff pi and DL8 digitech delay/looper. Now here's the thing. The reason I need another pedal is because of the looper. The amp itself has settings where I can switch between clean and distortion, however if I play something clean, loop it, and switch distortion, then the distortion ends up being in the loop instead of the clean. So I need a pedal so that I can loop clean stuff and play the solo in overdrive/distortion. The big muff pi can do it, but the cable broke so now it runs on battery :( Also I'd prefer to have a pedal distortion/overdrive that's a good pairing with the NYC big muff. So if anyone has any suggestions let me know :)
