My 1984 bronco only blows air out the vents that are at your face? how would i fix this?

Hey, my 1984 bronco has recently stoped switching between foot mixed face and defrost vents. The heat only comes out of the face vents and i am trying to fix it because i cant see out of my windsheild with out the deforst. Thanks
